IC Q&A

Tough questions from investors. Direct answers from the team.

Isn't this just another habit tracker or checklist app?

No. Habit trackers measure compliance. Checklists measure completion. Stackrun records execution and outcomes. The value is not that something was done. The value is that it worked and can be rerun without re-deciding. If optimization does not increase voluntary rerun, the thesis fails.

Why does this need to exist as a company? People already do this on Reddit.

Because Reddit stores opinions, not execution. Threads do not rerun, adapt to constraints, or improve over time. People already do the hard cognitive work manually. Stackrun removes the cost of remembering and re-deciding. That is the product.

Where is the network effect? This sounds like a solo productivity tool.

The network effect is epistemic, not social. Every fork adds constraint-aware outcome data. Helping others optimize improves your own future starting point. Personal success and ecosystem value rise together. If that loop does not form, the company does not scale.

Why won't AI just generate perfect routines and make this irrelevant?

AI without execution hallucinates. It optimizes advice, not reality. Stackrun grounds AI in what actually happened and whether it worked. Memory of execution is what makes AI useful. Without it, AI stays generic.

Why doesn't Amazon, Apple, or Google do this?

They optimize for transactions, attention, and lock-in. They reset by design. Stackrun compounds by design. You cannot backfill execution histories, fork lineages, or rerun curves after the fact. Behavioral state only accumulates forward.

What if users don't want to log anything?

Then the thesis fails. Stackrun does not rely on manual logging. Execution is inferred through rerun, substitutions, and outcomes. If people do not rerun because it is easier, this should not exist.

This feels narrow. Newborn gear? Skincare? How does this become big?

The wedge is narrow. The primitive is horizontal. Any domain where outcomes improve through repetition is addressable. The company is not about categories. It is about owning memory of execution.

Where does monetization actually come from?

From depth of behavior, not traffic. Execution creates verified demand, measurable lift, and real attribution. Capture follows proof. Monetizing before memory compounds would be misaligned.

What is the single metric that proves this works?

Rerun rate after optimization. If people voluntarily rerun more often when behavior is remembered, the primitive works. If rerun is flat, the thesis is wrong.

What is the biggest risk?

That remembering execution does not meaningfully reduce cognitive load. That users prefer restarting to continuity. That optimization does not increase success. These are intentional risks tested early.

What does failure look like?

Flat rerun. Ignored optimization. No organic forking. In that case, the company stops. There is no narrative rescue.

What does success look like in 12 months?

One wedge where rerun exceeds 50 percent, optimization is adopted, forking emerges organically, and users return without prompting. That is infrastructure signal.

Say the company in one sentence.

Stackrun remembers what actually worked so people do not have to figure things out again, and that memory compounds.

Final IC belief check

Do you believe that remembering executed behavior makes life easier than restarting? If yes, this becomes infrastructure. If no, it should not exist.
